| How much
is the required deposit? |
All custom projects
require a purchase order and 50% deposit. This deposit is
deducted from your final bill. The deposit allows us to make
the molds, dies needed to provide you with a production sample.
Production samples will be fine-tuned and remade as necessary
at no additional cost within reasonable changes. All changes
must be from original design request. |
| What are
Antenna Balls made of? |
| Our Antenna Balls
are manufactured from a high-density, soft foam material.
This is the material used to make the very popular Jack and
Mickey. You can request a referral from us for materials such
as polystyrene, plastic or materials other than our soft foam. |
| What
are the benefits of soft foam material? |
-
The soft foam is actually colored material,
not painted! No paint means no chipping!
-
Antenna Balls are either milled into
round balls, die cut into specific shapes or molded in
to 3-D designs depending on your needs and budget.
-
Soft foam expands over all size car antenna's
or pencils/pens. Whereas other materials require adapters
or the customer's need to dig or carve out a larger hole.
Through experience, polystyrene products tend to "ream"
out and don't stay on an antenna. This is similar to taking
your nail to a styrofoam cup, when you indent with your
nail, it does not return to shape.

| What
are the Lead Times? |
| Lead times vary
with the information/material we receive in order to start
the project.
Sample Prototype: Average
of 2-3 weeks once prototypes have been approved there will
be a minimum production lead-time of 4 weeks; lead-times vary
according to quantities. Rush orders are available with a
20% upcharge. |
| Do
you have Antenna Balls for retractable antennas? |
| No. We do not
offer retractable antenna adapters because we have found over
the years, that they do not fit most car antennas and may
cause damage with the electric motors and the telescoping
antennas. (Fact: 89% of cars on the US highways have freestanding
antennas, the remaining antenna's are in windshields or dash.
There seems to be a growing trend going back to antennas because
of the cost to replace windshields and the reception issues). |
